will Blicavs get three games this year?
Depends on how long it takes for the Geelong big men to return from injury. The gamble is that he can make some money before his job security expires.
No Currie, no Rowe, no Louie.Where does this leave you in terms of your ruck strategy?
I have Blicavs as R3 so can cover Louie but may move for Longer if the salary cap allows me to. Any other rucks you guys like?
Tigers look good. Caaarlton need to bring back Ratten.
Ty Vickery. Looking good so far. Had the pre-season wrap.
Not sold on either team after tonight although both teams will get better.

Things are starting to head in the right direction. Gibbs 133 & Cotchin 101 were good. Maric’s 83 wasn’t good enough and can be filed with last weeks efforts of Massive, Fyfe, Heppell, Goddard & especially Shuey’s pathetic effort.
Worryingly, I have all of my rookies to come. How are you travelling?

Houli and Lucas really let me down last night, made up for by Gibbs and Kreuzer. banking on a couple of breakouts over the weekend (Steven and Boak,) still debating over Bradley Hill, Ollie Wines, jack Viney, Matt Jones and Kane Mitchell (only room for two)
I’ve banked on Boak before and regretted it although the captaincy may help him to be a more consistent scorer.
Out of those rookies I have Viney & K. Mitchell. I didn’t grab Wines because of finances.
Houli should get better, there seems a few blokes that have underperformed this round but should come good.
with so many trades I feel reward outweighs risk. just trying to win the league not the whole competition, if Steven, Boak, Moloney and JPK all peform I have 800K in the bank to upgrade the rookie part of my midfield to super premiums. Banking winning enough in the second half to just sneak into the finals to win the lot!
Bench news:
Sam Dwyer, Ollie Wines, Kane Mitchell, Matt Jones all named to play. Hopefully my blokes wont wear the vest.
I’m going to go Brad Hill and Jack Viney based on the fact that they are named to start, with so many trades I can just trade to someone different if there is a better scoring rookie.
Viney has good job security, not as sure about Hill, but he should at least make some money.
Hill was named on the wing for Hawthorn. With injuries and young leaving for collingwood, i reckon hill will nail that spot, and score higher than other rookies.
Hill certainly has the ability to break the line and hit the target by foot. I passed on him due to price and js. Hopefully for your sake he’ll explode out of the box.
Fwd line is very solid due to the dearth of fwd rookies. Cox, zorko, rocky, Dmartin, karnezis, JJKennedy, Maccaffer and Dwyer.
Anyone thinking about making a sneaky last minute adjustment to the team today?
\Dwyer, Neade or Patton? worried about Dwyers JS, Neade will be subbed surely and Patton won’t make much money.
Neade sure is a little fella yet they have thrown him straight into the 18. There is probably more to him than we give him credit for. Time will tell of course, but, he could be the best earner out of the three.
Dwyer doesn’t have great JS but will hopefully generate some early cash. Of course if he comes out and plays similar to how he went at VFA level then the pies will stick with him.
Patton will play all year and at 183k will make money. The issue with him is that he will be a slow burner. You may not make money out of him until later on in the year.

Louie’s donut will be covered by whatever Blicavs can conjure up. So I’ve only used 12 players, which is bad enough.
Rockliff 114 & B Goodes 91 were fantastic. Karnezis will throw us the odd 66 I suspect, but Zorko’s 52 hurt. Gary as skipper and the Jaegermeister on debut are my only two players on show tonight. I hope Gary goes nuts.

Wright is a good choice. I am thinking of Watts or Moloney. Or even an upgrade to Swanlow. I am open to other possibilities. Also think that Zorko could be a cheap recruit in about a months time.

Gary top scored with 135 as skipper. Jaeger’s 73 on debut was handy. Today get interesting with Viney, K. Mitchell, Pittard & Macaffer set to be rolled out alongside Heater and Pendles.

Swapping Lucas for Ablett next week, thought he would be tagged this year but no one can stop him!
also changing zorko for wright, already had Karnezis and Rocky in the forward line, 3 lions is one too many.
You must a war chest if you are trading Lucas into Gary. He is a deadset freak. I have been asking myself the same question about three players in the Lions website especially as I have the three Lions there as you do.
I have around 800k, trying to save it for upgrades in second half of season
